about

One warm summer day while at an outdoor dance festival, Nathaniel was looking at one of Tempest's art pieces: The Star Goddess. As he fell into the depths and complexities of the art the phrase, "The Mechanist & The Star Goddess" popped into his head and he knew that was the start of something new. What the final form of this project would come to be eluded him but he knew that it would come in due time.

A couple of years later he shared his many thoughts on the subject with Tempest and his long-time friend and collaborator Davis Petterson and they were both on board right then and there. All the three of them had right then was a name and a very tenuous concept - and so they dug into it and a new band was formed.

They played some shows, they wrote some songs, and then came this first recording. There will definitely be more to come.
